The current Railway #1 is a passenger and freight dictated railway operating at a speed 120 km/hr and an axial load of 25 ton/axis. The futuristic operation will be running passenger trains by speed of 250km/hr with the same axial load and cargo trains by speed of 120 km/hr and an axial load of 32.5 ton/axis. Saudi Railway Organization (SRO) thus the consultants to perform the following works as per future operation requirements:
1. Evaluation of the capacity and safety of four existing bridges (146.463 km, 426.617km, 434.887 km, 446.295km) between Riyadh and Al Hofuf.
2. Design of two new parallel bridges (146.463km, 426.617km)
3.Evaluation of sleeper beam B70
